New Siding, Windows at Brookside Houses

CRG Residential has paired up with Brookside CDC to renovate three of their community homes in downtown Indianapolis.  Brookside CDC is an organization that provides housing for individuals reentering the community as well as families in need of stable housing, with whom CRG has worked with in the past.

CRG had previously remodeled the kitchens and bathrooms of one of the duplexes and came back this summer to replace and repaint the vinyl siding, so the exteriors of the home match the modern interiors. After the siding, the CRG volunteer crew moved onto the second house to replace all the windows on both sides of the duplex, 18 windows in total. As of today, the CRG crew was working on installing new trim to the interior and exterior of the new windows. The third project, a single-family home, will be receiving all new siding after removing the failing faux brick panels–the material similar to shingles–that covered the entire house. All the work that has been done will give the Brookside houses better insulation, therefore providing Brookside with houses that will last for many future residents to come.

Performing community outreach with donated time and materials is key to upholding CRG’s core values. The team at CRG Residential believes that while developing modern, luxury communities will help a city grow, investing in the current structures will help a city succeed in the long term.
