Purpose
To plan, direct, and coordinate activities pertaining to CRG Residential projects on schedule and within budget ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and industrial standards
Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management
Experience
Hands-on field superintendent experience with slab on grade/wood framed construction to include major site development preferred
Minimum 2 years multifamily construction with projects in excess of $5 million
Special Skills
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent mathematical skills. Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Windows environment and working knowledge with spreadsheets and electronic scheduling is required. Regular travel ability required.
Physical Functions
Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel and lift or carry weight up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, extreme cold for more than 1 hour at a time and extreme heat for more than 1 hour at a time. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate and detailed takeoffs from civil, architectural, and landscape drawings through the use of computerized estimating and digitizing software.
Apply conceptual and working knowledge of contract schedule of values, schedule of durations, ability to prepare and review job cost reports and percentage sheets.
Formalize and maintain the construction budget and accurately track all budget changes. Prepare budget reconciliations.
Build and maintain the project schedule, identify and resolve problems.
Identify potential subcontractors and vendors for use on the project and send out initial bid invitation letters and prequalification notices.
Compile bidders list for review and approval.
Negotiate subcontract change orders, inputs and managers' project budget and ensure that required documentation is filed.
Responsible for maintaining OSHA program requirements on all jobsites and enforcing safety standards and reporting requirements.
Prepare and present monthly project reports utilizing photographs, observation reports, schedules and job cost reports, as needed.
Adhere to established emergency policies and procedures.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, corporate seminars and assigned training.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
